Mutina is a brand new way of looking at porcelain ceramics. Their vision is no longer just tiles, but pieces of interior design.
The Numi collection signifies the beginning of the collaboration between Mutina and the German designer Konstantin Grcic. The outcome is a true discussion about art. An exploration for the foundation for the analysis of colors, materials and shapes. Numi consists of squared tiles – 30×30 cm, 60×60 cm and 5×5 cm – with a diverse, partially glazed geometric form, in six different colors. See the collection here.
The Rombini collection is an exploration of the world of colour that had to overcome many technical and manufacturing difficulty, before which Mutina and the Bouroullec brothers did not stop reaching the common goal: a project of vibration, all made of ceramics. Thanks to the Triangle forms, the shape of the rhombus is interpreted in its three-dimensional shapes, in order to create games of lights and darkness on the surface – Available in 40×40 cm and 27,5×25,7 cm sheets. See the collection here.
The Tierras collection is based on the notion of remains and Mediterranean craft traditions. Components that emerge from the earth, in their material imperfection. Mutina and Patricia Urquiola have wanted to propose terracotta’s labouring processing techniques with the aspiration to get out of the two-dimensionality of the wall covering, results in the experimentation of the brick. See the collection here.
