Described as the ‘Oscars of the Design Community’, Mutina’s Numi was topped as favourite for Best Wall-Covering in Elle Decorations Awards 2016. The breathtaking Numi range is also featured in their Magazine’s September 2016 issue, featuring below “The World’s Best Designs”.
Every year, 25 top editors of the Elle Decoration magazine select the crème de le crème of international interior design. The Elle Decoration Award Ceremony was held at Salone de Mobile in Milan to announce the 2016 winners. Other categories included Designer of the Year, Young Designer of the Year, Lighting, Furniture, Outdoor, Table Ware and many more.
Numi marks the start of the collaboration between Italian tile company Mutina and Konstantin Grcic, as well as the designer’s first campaign into ceramic world. The collection consists of squared tiles with a partially glazed geometric form, in six dusty colours. These shapes create a pattern that magnifies the architectural space in which they are installed (30x30cm, 60x60cm).
Also a part of the collection, the smaller Numini (5x5cm) are characterised by a moulded pattern on a smooth finish. In an arrangement, every geometric shape is laid in the identically to emphasise light and shadow. You can read the full Elle Decoration Article here.
