Back in December one of our gorgeous tiles was put forward for Wall tile of the Year 2015 which is one of 18 categories within The Tile Association Awards. We are overjoyed to announce that our glass infused volcanic stone known as Nero Sicilia has been shortlisted for the award.
The awards will be held on the 18th April this year at the St John’s Hotel and Conference Centre in Solihull and promises like last year to be a fantastic evening. The TTA Awards 2015 will showcase the very best in the tile industry with the spotlight on projects, people and products within the industry.
Last year we were shortlisted in 2 categories of which we were victorious in one ‘Best use of tile in a domestic project’ for our work on a multi million pound project here in Lancashire which you can view here
Most recently we have supplied the Nero Sicilia for a Nandos project in Woking which you can view on our projects page here
Nerosicilia is a natural lava stone extracted from the slopes of Etna and fired in a new, unique process. This process does not apply a glaze and leaves the stone in its natural state with a deep black tone which is impossible to find naturally. The decoration applied is achieved with 100% recycled glass.
nerosicilia declares its love to the land.
nerosicilia allows us to experience a dark coloured lava stone that has exceptional technical charecteristics – is suitable for all uses, internal and external, walls and floors. It is a piece of the most ancient active european volcano that fits into our contemporary living.
nerosicilia highlights the culture of Sicily and expresses it through multiple colours and decors. You can find out more about Nero Sicilia here
Keep an eye out on our social media feeds in April to see if we are victorious.
