On Friday 18th May we attended the 2018 TTA awards, as we had been shortlisted for three awards; Wall Tile of the Year, Floor Tile of the Year and Best Small Commercial Project. We are delighted to announce that we won the Wall Tile of the Year award for our ‘Futura’ collection.
This years event was hosted at the St Johns hotel in Solihull, with the theme of the 1920’s, which brought glitz and glamor to the event. The awards celebrate the best in the tiling industry with awards ranging from; Employee of the Year to the Best Use of Tile and so on.
Wall Tile of the Year
We’re thrilled to have won this award for such a strong and aesthetically pleasing collection, by the design house 41zero42. Futura was released at the 2017 Cersaie expo, where it gained a lot of attention for its evolution of multiple concepts and stylings. Since then we’ve been promoting this collection online and within magazines.
Futura was inspired from the main protagonists of the artists and architectural currents of the first half of the 20th century. The main focus of inspiration in particular was from the contemporary dynamics of Bauhaus design and the French architect ‘Pierre Chareau’.
This collection consists of 4 variants in colour; White, Black, Rose and Blue. The main base colour is Cement Grey, which allows the graphics to take the main focus of the tile. In turn, the collection generates 8 different styling patterns to compliment the plain tiles. Available in the one size format of 15x15cm, with a thickness of 10mm, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor usage.
